Back in the saddle

Ok, it's time to get serious about so many things blogging.  I really need to stay motivated.

To up date I have started most of my seeds indoors for this spring.  Yes, I know I have started some way too early,( probably not the best time to say some were started 2 weeks ago).  So now I am on the hurry up spring bandwagon.  DH has given me the green light to plant as much of the yard area as I want  as long as it is edible   (thanks honey).  The kids and I have BIG plans fruits, veggies, mushrooms,  the plan is to go for broke.  Time will tell how that plan pans out.   On my to do list is to inventory the canning jars, rings and look into the reusable lids.  I think they look promising. See here  (first link).

Also on the agenda is finishing four costumes for Shutocon.  Two White Mages, 1 Black Mage, and A Mario.  I have a start on the White Mages.  Though the last sale flier from JoAnn's really did not help.  So I picked up their Magazine (in store) called Fashion Fusion it has two 50% and four 40% coupons (good through June) on the back.  The magazine costs $2.99 but, I look at it as an insurance policy on the rising cost of cotton.

We are a completely diaper/pull up free household!  It only took 16.5 years.  Now to get DD1 through her last section of drivers Ed so she can help dad transport kids to functions.

It appears we are past the winter crud at long last.  I  hope and pray it dosen't return.

It's November....let's discuss Halloween.

Hey, mom.... that is how it always starts. In the end I had 8 costumes to make for Halloween and Youmacon. This mixed in with an"elegant" wedding reception for my brother and his new wife. My crafting life was quite full for the month of October. I finished 7 costumes changing out 2 at the end. (the kids were still happy) and the "elegant reception" developed and changed several times.

Myself and my 3 sisters were all divided in to our respective jobs and mom is the general leading it all. Like we all knew there would be there are opposing ideas and thoughts on color scheme, cake, food, table wear etc. I have my job add height to the very tall room ( banner type things) and table decor with my eldest DS(dear sister). White on white is the color scheme ( I know how hard right?). The table decor is done, I even made ribbon napkin rings, now onto the banners. I'll post photos after the big event(Thanksgiving weekend).

I guess all photos will need to be posted later I just am not smart enough to figure it out.

There is a Bannana knocking at the door

SO... big suprise the kids are only half completing chore jobs. And fussing about everything. Sunday was DS1's 1st communion and company was arriving for a luncheon that day. I am worn out . On these days it is best to find the humor and grab it.

While putting laundry away in another room, DS1 is playing in his room and after DD2 leaves the room he locks the door against DD3. DD3 decided she wants to play...... I hear Knock knock knock... DS1 asks"who is it?" the reply of course is "bananna" he is not sure who it was so does not respond. the of course happens two more times he never bites and opens the door nor does he ask the standard "bananna who?". DD3 gives up and wanders off and I have a good laugh and a title for today.

Sunday...... DS1 looks wonderful in his charcol pinstripe suit. He was nervous but, did well with propmting from Father. I missed the look on his face from the wine however. His father caught it and will remember it always. The luncheon after wards was nice and simple. Salads, sandwiches and time with family. Oh, the coupe de gra was a 4 hour hard sleep afterwards.
